What's for dinner???

This.

Today wasn't a bad day, but I think I'm coming down with something. Not sure......just a feeling.

I spent 80% of my day beautifying my clients, talking about bra sizes, and Ave wondering why boogers are green. It's a hard job.

With that said, I was tired and  thought a hot bath would be good when I got home. However, my husband was tired, my dog needed fed and my daughter needed her bed time rituals.

So here I am.

I don't have a recipe for you, and I don't recommend pickled green beans and wine for dinner. But boy was it good, and man will I pay for it in the morning.

The nights I work late, I often end with a slice of cheese and a dill pickle. Sounds repulsive?  Don't tell me you haven't found yourself luring in the fridge at the big jar of pickles in the late hour. Or pulling open the drawers but all that's there is produce and shreds of who knows what.......I know. Did I already mention I wouldn't recommend spicy green beans and wine for dinner?

I make no excuses for failing to eat a  four- food- group -dinner. Cooking was not an option tonight and since my "hot bath" was thrown to pieces, I wasn't messing around.  I grabbed what I saw and what I saw was good. Besides, this makes for an interesting post.

I need no sympathy. I just needed to write and remind myself that it's okay to have a simple dinner. Just me, my computer, my sleeping family and green beans.

I'm a night owl, I'm a morning gal, and I don't need much to keep these fingers movin and grovin.

Now I've taken it to far, I think.

To end this heart warming and life changing post, I think I'll leave you with a tempting teaser. Tomorrow I'm settling on Roasted vegetarian  Bolognese over penne. I don't think you'll be disappointed and I promise, I'll leave out the green beans.

And most of the obnoxious humor.

  6. You're absolutely not the only one! When I come home late from work, and when I don't feel like cooking, I spread some pepper paste and cheese on bread and have it with black tea for dinner while my husband makes sausages for him. And pickled green beans sound another great idea for me! Some yogurt would accompany it. Looking forward to seeing your Roasted vegetarian Bolognese over penne.

  7. I don't think I've ever had spicy green beans but am intrigued. The pickles and cheese do not repulse me at all but it has to be kosher dill pickles and land o lakes american cheese ;)

  8. I opened the wine you gave me for Christmas last night for one tiny little glass. It is AMAZING! I only wish had had green beans to go with it.

  9. @SarahOh good. I'm new to red wine so picking it, is a gamble. Green beans will come your way soon. All I need is sun and a planted garden:)
